Setting foot onto Lundu grounds for the 2nd time

Well my first trip to lundu was like a year and a half ago where we stayed at Ocean Resort which was fun. This trip we stayed at Hock Kim Lim Resort as I recall that was the name of the resort located next to Ocean Resort and The Retreat. Well we took off from Kuching at about 10.30 after breakfast and last minute preperations for the trip.

Lundu is located about 88 Km from Kuching so it's bout one an a half hr trip. Came to a surprise there were so many people making their way to Lundu or Sematan resorts to spend their holidays as Lundu and Sematan are nearby. Anyway driving was so lazy for me seeing there are so many cars in front of me so I laid back follow the crowd and enjoy the ride.

After arriving at Lundu, it took us another 20 minutes to reach the resorts. On arrival at the resort, I saw The Retreat and I thought we would be staying there for the rest of the time but disappointed as I was our place was next door. The Retreat was like a mini Damai but with clearer beach and the price is definitely more expensive than Damai.

Well we checked in, though the house conditions were least expected it was alright. A chance to experience something new. The house did not look too shabby. I could live with the joining beds, the no air-con part but I found it hard to to enjoy my bath because there was no pipe and the water came out from this big pool. God knows how long the water has been in that pool and looking to the base of it did not trigger any nerve to enjoy a bath but still a bath is necessary. Just take it and get over with it. Want a clean bath wait till you go back to Kuching.

Then came to the beach. Gosh it was beautiful and the water was clean and clear *cough* comparing to Damai of course. Well I did not jump into the water with the rest of the guys all I did was walk around and took photos. It was pretty relaxing there we played card games and drinking session started from 2pm to 3am. The only time that there was a rest was when we drove down to Sematan to buy soft shell crabs and the other hour for dinner.

Dinner was great followed by bbq-ing soft shell crabs and prawns. It just felt as though there was no worry in the world on that particular day. Just a day for total relaxation. It was true, though the facilities around us wasn't up to perfection, even next door was singing karaoke non stop but then I felt relaxed and I had a good trip which made me HAPPY! and I love being happy. *Heh* below are the pics from the trip.
